Resonance PCCP Udaipur continued The Legancy of IESO - 2015 with 3 Selection in Stage - 1

Resonance PCCP Udaipur gives outstanding result in IESO (International Earth Science Olympiad).

Resonance PCCP Udaipur gives outstanding result in IESO (International Earth Science Olympiad). Total 22 students are selected from the India out of 8 students are selected form the Resonance in which 3 Students are from the Resonance PCCP Udaipur.

This is the highest result of any institute in India. The Resonace Udaipur has achieved this achievement again.

The Resonance Udaipur has been giving continuously result in IESO for last 6 years.

The selected students from Udaipur Study Center are Manasven Raina (Rank 13), Prakhar Gupta (Rank 21) and Divyansh Joshi (Rank 22).

The Geological Society of selected 22 students to attend a Training Camp in Earth Sciences during the summer of 2016. Four students will be finally chosen from among the Training Camp participants who will represent India at the 10th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) , to be held in Japan.

What is IESO

The International Earth Science Olympiad - IESO, was founded as one of the major activities of the International Geoscience Education Organization (IGEO). It is an annual competition for secondary school students. The main aims of the IESO are to encourage students interest and public awareness of Earth Science and to enhance Earth Sciences learning and to enhance Earth Science teaching/learning at school level. The IESO aims further to foster friendly relationships among young learners from different countries and promoting international cooperation in exchanging ideas and materials on Earth sciences and Earth sciences education.

The Geological Society of India is the body responsible for selecting the Indian Team for the International Earth Science Olympiad. So far, the Earth Science Olympiad program in the country involved four stages: (i) National level Entrance Test, (ii) Training Camp culminating in the Indian National Earth Science Olympiad, (iii) Pre-departure training camp and (iv) International Earth Science Olympiad. The Earth Science Olympiad (ESO) is conducted by the ESO Cell at the Geological Society of India constituted by the President, Geological Society of India.

The IESO is supported by the Ministry of Earth Science (MoES), Government of India as one of its outreach programme for promotion of Earth Science.

Eligibility : “ Students of IX, X,XI & XII (in September 2016) who were born after 01-07-1997”
Application procedure : Please send the applications to the In-charge of the Test Centre (Details in the Test Centers page) along with the application fee of Rs. 50/- by money order or demand draft favouring the test centre in charge.
Certificates and Awards : The 20 students selected for the Training Camp will be awarded Certificates of Participation. The four students selected for the IESO will be awarded Certificates of Merit and Cash Prizes (Rs. 5,000/- each).
